![]() ![]() ![]() I was basically tossed into Witch Queen without knowing a damn thing. That's the biggest reason I had no idea what was happening in the beginning of the game. I've been told that the original campaign (Red War) and three expansions (basically Forsaken) were "vaulted" for whatever reason. I have no idea what the FUCK is going on, and obviously Bungie wants to keep it that way. I got Lucent Blade, and I was told it wasn't being sold by Ada for several months. Basic stat mods are an engram drop, gun mods have to be bought daily from Banshee, and armor mods daily from Ada. What I don't love, however, is having to sink, like, 6 months of time into D2 before I'm allowed to be good. 100 hours in, and I've only completely bought everything for Solar, everything but half the fragments on Arc, and still nothing for Void and Stasis. I wouldn't have this big of an issue if fragments weren't 25k apiece, while supers are 7.5k. This particular challenge needed Void, and you can go fuck yourself if you don't have anything on Void! You don't even get two aspects. I ran into the issue of doing Vanguard pinnacles, and needing to be the same subclass as whatever element was in rotation. I was told by my veteran friends that they were just given all the fragments, and at most had to buy, like, 4 of them. Why in the hell do I need to invest, like, 2 million glimmer into unlocking subclass features before I'm allowed to really play the game? Why do I need to re-purchase high jump on Solar when I bought it on Arc? I played Arc initially, but had to swap to Solar for survivability in raids (squishy hunter lol), and immediately noticed I had NOTHING. The three largest issues I encountered after being disowned by Bungie and kicked out the house for daring to install their game, are FRAGMENTS, MODS, and LORE. My 1580+ friends helped me with the legendary Witch Queen campaign. ![]() I started doing the Beyond Light campaign by accident, and only recently completed Shadowkeep for Divinity. There is absolutely ZERO new player support past this point. If I didn't have several friends holding my hand, this was where I'd stop. I'm sent to the Tower, there are markers everywhere, no explanations, and Bungie threw a big ol' Witch Queen advertisement in my face. It's some J'onn J'onzz type shit.Īfter the roughly hour-two hour tutorial bit, I'm thrown to the wolves. No Bungie, his name isn't "Sha Han", it's Shawn. "Hey here are the Fallen!", "Hey btw the Hive's here!", "Hey my name's Shawn!". The beginning was fine (which I've been told was ripped from D1), albeit very shotgunny. Immediately I enjoy the overall gameplay (gunplay, movement, abilities, etc.), but I'm ultimately taken aback a bit over the story, or lack thereof. I had never played D1, I haven't ever tried D2 before this. Roughly two weeks ago, my buddies got me into Destiny 2- four days before the release of the King's Fall raid. However, Destiny 2, as much as I'm enjoying it, has tweaked me the wrong way several times. I've pushed the highest end content in every one I've played, and I'm no stranger to grinds and time-sinks. This wasn’t just a simple tricorn, and I’m still blown away by the coordination between hundreds (to thousands) of participants to execute on the art.I'd like to preface that I have tens of thousands of hours across multiple MMOs (WoW player since 5, played FFXIV religiously, etc.) and I'm not talking out of my ass. Through Discord chats, text messages, forum posts and multiple other means of communication, the community effectively locked down the 'Destiny 2 spot' through all four days. "Through the weekend, two Destiny-specific Reddit communities, r/DTG and r/Destiny2, led the charge in securing a spot on the board to represent the Destiny community. This wonderland of expression has appeared only a few times in previous years, going by the name of r/place. "If you don’t frequently visit Reddit," dmg04 said in the post, "a wonderful weekend event kicked off where any user in the world could place a pixel on a board to start creating small (or large) pieces of art. S2EmwTZk97- dmg04 #TeamMech ApCrushed Gamma Emblem Code Dunno when the cutoff is, but damn y’all killed it. On April 7, Bungie Senior Community Manager dmg04 released a developer blog to announce the promotion, as well as shout out the r/DestinyTheGame and r/destiny2 subreddits for successfully representing the free-to-play title on the 4-million-pixel r/place 2022 board. Bungie has released a free Destiny 2 emblem in commemoration of its community's recently minted Reddit r/place art. ![]()
